Back in 2018, I made this artwork for the 9th edition of Bucharest Design Meetup, where some of the lettering pieces I have worked on were showcased. To promote the event, I had to create an image that spoke of my skillset and craft. This lettering appeared after an intensely iterative process on paper and was inspired by traditional calligraphic letterforms and some works by George Bickham and The Universal Penman, one of the most influential calligraphy and lettering books, published back in 1733.
